A woman’s home is burglarized while she sleeps.

Salina Police say 88-year-old Theresia Haley came home Sunday afternoon and fell asleep in a chair with her purse next to her. Haley told officers that someone entered her unlocked house in the 400 block of Stimmel, sometime between 1:30pm and 2pm and removed $200 cash, keys and a grocery store loyalty card. Total loss is listed at $207.

Thieves damage a semi truck and remove a CB radio.

According to Lt. Russ Lamer, Shawn Stauffer of Salina parked his 1999 Freightliner semi truck at the MHG Kenworth Facility, 2301 N. Ohio on May 27th. When he returned to the lot on the morning of May 31st, he discovered that someone had smashed a side window on the cab and stole a CB radio. Total loss and damage is listed at $550.
