The Salina Police Department is investigating after jewelry and a GPS are stolen from a local residence.

Between April 20 and May 12 a home in the block of 700 Osage was compromised after the owners reported numerous jewelry items stolen including a yellow gold engagement ring, gold bracelet with diamonds and diamond earrings from their home along with a GPS from a vehicle.

There are known suspects in the case, but as of Tuesday morning no arrests have been made. Total loss is $7200.

An arrest is made late Monday night after drugs are found in a vehicle along Interstate 70.

At approximately 11pm Deputy Craig Norris pulled over the vehicle near mile marker 249 due to improper driving. After bringing in the K-9 unit 2 grams of marijuana wax was found in the car.

Ryan Barlett, 27, of Beverly, Kansas was arrested and booked into Saline County Jail. He faces possession, obstruction and improper driving on a laned roadway charges.
