Police Hit Daily Double

Salina Police arrest two suspects in the same location – who were not together.

Police find a woman who was wanted for fleeing and eluding officers in January. According to Captain Mike Sweeney, an officer on patrol recognized 29-year-old Heather M. Urbanek, as she sat in a vehicle that was parked in the lot at Dollar General at 654 S. Broadway on Tuesday morning at 9:28am.

Back on January 28th, Urbanek allegedly took the wheel of a truck during an attempted traffic stop and sped away.  Moments later her and another occupant jumped out of the running vehicle and fled.  The truck hit a curb in the 700 block of Morrison before striking a parked 1990 Chevy S-10. She is now facing numerous charges that include reckless driving.

Officers also arrested 28-year-old Brittany L. Fulton of Wichita inside the Dollar General store. Fulton was identified as a person listed on Salina’s Most Wanted List for multiple warrants and a probation violation.

Police say Fulton and Urbanek were not traveling together. Captain Sweeney tells KSAL News, the officer pulled into the lot as a backup, when he recognized Urbanek sitting in a vehicle.
