The Salina Police Department has announced the promotion of five officers.
According to the department, Captain Sean Morton has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief. That position had been vacant since Carson Mansfield retired at the end of December.
Officer Chad McCary, Officer Chad Burr, Officer Brent Rupert, and Detective James Feldman have all been promoted to the rank Sergeant.
The department announced the promotions Tuesday. The promotions will take effect on June 16th.
