Patrol Shooting Suspect Captured In Nebraska

A man accused of shooting at a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper is under arrest in Nebraska.

39-nine-year-old Richard Gathercole was arrested near U.S. Highway 283 and Interstate-80 in Lexington, Nebraska, early Tuesday morning. The San Jacinto, California, man had been on the run since Monday evening when he allegedly opened fire at a state trooper near Goodland.

The trooper was not hurt and Gathercole was arrested after his stolen truck was spotted by a Dawson County, Nebraska, deputy.
