Ohio Man Hurt in Deer vs SUV Crash

An Ohio man was injured east of Salina after his vehicle struck a deer early Thursday morning on I-70.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Marshall Bohlander of Cincinnati, Ohio was driving westbound in a 2004 Mazda Tribute SUV and struck a deer near the Solomon rest area and rolled.

EMS transported Bohlander to the hospital in Salina with a head injury.

Deputies say his long hair got caught in the driver side window and tore his scalp as the vehicle rolled.

The accident happened at about 3:15am Thursday at mile post #263.
