Thomas Lee Isaacson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Lee Isaacson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Tom left this world on May 30, 2025, at the age of 81. Tom was born on June 15, 1943, in Salina, Kansas, to Lee and Mary (Jacobs) Isaacson.

On May 1, 1965, Tom married the love of his life, Jean Ann Hoover. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They were inseparable partners, traveling the world and creating countless cherished memories with their family. Tom’s playful spirit and warm heart made him a beacon of joy for all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tom graduated from Sacred Heart High School before serving his country proudly in the Army for three years. After his military service, he served as a firefighter with the Salina Fire Department. Following this, he took on the role of a delivery driver. In retirement, Tom and Jean formed a business selling kettle corn, cinnamon-roasted nuts, and root beer at festivals across the country, bringing smiles to countless faces and spending quality time together as a family.

In addition to his work, Tom had a passion for life that was evident in his many hobbies and interests. A true sports enthusiast, he was a supporter of the Kansas City Royals and a Boston Celtics fan during his younger years. More than anything, Tom relished the moments spent with his grandchildren, cheering them on at their various activities and celebrating their achievements.

Tom’s kindness and generosity extended beyond his family. The friendships he cultivated throughout his life were meaningful and deep, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. His warmth, sense of humor, and unyielding support will be profoundly missed.

He is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Jean Ann Isaacson, his brother, Roger Isaacson, and his parents Lee and Mary (Jacobs) Isaacson.

He leaves behind his daughter Michelle Isaacson and his sons Wade (Toni Woodson) Isaacson and Heath (Melanie) Isaacson. Tom also leaves behind grandchildren Dakota (Payton), Kaci, Levi, Jacob, Joseph, Faith (Travis) Morrison, Zachary, Angel, Rosie Woodson, Riley Woodson, Ryder, Randy (Joann) Newton, and Tammy Allen.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at The Friendship Center at 11 a.m., June 5, 2025. The family invites all who knew and loved him to join in honoring his memory.
