Keith D. Lassman

Keith Lassman, 87, passed away on January 26, 2026. Kieth was born on May 9, 1938, the youngest of five boys born to Otto W. Lassman and Elsa Baggett Lassman in Wichita, Kansas.

Keith graduated from West High School in 1965 and joined the Army where he served for 3 years. During this time he spent one year on Eniwetok Proving Grounds, a small island that was part of the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific.

Following his service, he returned to Wichita and went to Drafting School and was hired by Buscher and Willis Engineering Company as a draftsman. He spent his entire career there doing various jobs. He started in drafting and ended as the pilot for aerial photography.

Keith was the Past Master of the Salina Masonic Lodge #60.

He was a collector and fixer. There were many things he enjoyed collecting and he had a mechanical ability to fix things. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting as long as he was able. He was active in the Boy Scouts both as a child and as an adult.

Keith married Claudene Wonderlich in 1983 and she survives. He is also survived by six nephews, Kenny Lassman, Alan Lassman, David Lassman, Ron Lassman, Doug Lassman, Jon Lassman, and five nieces, Linda Lassman, Karen Lassman, Sandra Brungardt, Suzanne Holshey, Dianne Wolkenhaur, two sisters-in-laws, June Lassman and Edna Lassman. There are also many friends and acquaintances that he made over the years

He was preceded in death by his parents and four older brothers, Carl, Gene, Larry, Murle and two sisters-in-laws, Alice Lassman and Helen Lassman.

Services will be at the First United Methodist Church on February 5 at 10:30 am. Burial will be in the Osborne Cemetery at a later date.
