Dorothy Ann Brown, 93, Minneapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born August 28, 1932, in Minneapolis to Walter H. and Wavie (Wolf) Wesley.
Dorothy attended school in Ada. After graduation, she attended Brown Mackie College in Salina where she met Bill Brown who was stationed at Smoky Hill Air Force Base. Bill and Dorothy were united in marriage on April 4, 1954. They were married 62 years at the time of Bill’s death in 2016.
They lived on the Wesley family farm northwest of Minneapolis where they raised their three children, Dwayne, Darrell, and Dorinda.
Dorothy lived for gardening and canning. She also loved cooking and baking. She was a lifetime member of the Bohemian Hall ZCBJ near Glasco. Dorothy was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #3201 in Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; daughter, Dorinda; grandson, Jonas; and two sisters, Irene Duvall and Jean Olsson.
Survivors are her sons, Dwayne Brown and Darrell Brown and wife Belinda all of Minneapolis; son-in-law, Chuck Loges and wife, Susie of McPherson; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 22, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 23 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Ada. Memorials may be given to the Ottawa County Service Corporation for the Carnival or to V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3201 and may be left in care of the funeral home.
