No Powerball Winner, Jackpot Over $250 Million

KSAL StaffJune 8, 2014

There was no jackpot winner in Saturday night’s $221 million Powerball drawing.

According to the lottery, the estimated jackpot for Wednesday is $257 million. The cash option is $151.9 million. Both of those numbers could likely rise within the next couple of days.

The winning numbers Saturday were 28, 30, 35, 58, and 59. The Powerball was 15.

While $257 million is a large jackpot, it is not a record. Last year an 84-year-old woman in Florida won $590 million.

The odds of matching all six numbers and winning the jackpot are 1 in 175.2 million.

Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Powerball tickets are sold in Kansas everywhere Kansas Lottery tickets are sold.

Though there was no jackpot winner sold, there was a $10,000 winning ticket sold in northeast Kansas.
