Police are investigating after a counterfeit $100 bill was used to purchase merchandise at Dollar Tree Store, 1210 W. Crawford, on Sunday afternoon.

Police say that staff at Sunflower Bank in Salina discovered the bogus bill in a deposit and notified authorities.

Police have reported at least three incidents of counterfeit cash being passed at local businesses in the past ten days.
