UPDATE: Kansas Amber Alert Cancelled

An Amber Alert that was issued in Kansas Tuesday night is cancelled.

Texas authorities had requested a Kansas Amber Alert late Tuesday evening in an attempt to locate a missing 15-year-old girl.

Nomei Valazquez has been missing since Monday. Her cell phone last pinged on I-35 near Lenexa Tuesday night.

According to the KBI, the alert was cancelled Wednesday morning after recent information indicated that the victim and suspect were not in Kansas.

ORIGINAL:Texas authorities requested a Kansas Amber Alert late Tuesday evening in an attempt to locate a missing 15-year-old girl.

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, 15-year-old Nomei Valazquez has been missing since Monday. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes, carrying brown purse, wearing glasses. Her nickname is Mimi.

The possible suspect is Juan Fabian Arenas Delacruz. He is 5’11 170 lbs with some facial hair.

They are possibly in a silver 2004 Volkswagon Passat with Texas plate DF7T507. Suspect and victim possibly traveling north along the I-35 corridor in the Kansas City area.

Her cell phone last pinged on I-35 NB near Lenexa.
