Meals on Wheels Needs Drivers

KSAL StaffSeptember 29, 2016

Salina Meals On Wheels is in need of delivery volunteers.

A program of the Saline County Commission on Aging, Salina Meals On Wheels provides nutritious meals to homebound persons in Salina.

Meals are delivered five days a week, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and days when weather does not permit delivery. Volunteers deliver meals three to five times every six weeks. Volunteers deliver the meals between 10:45-11:30 a.m. and spend about 45 minutes delivering meals on their scheduled days.

Both individuals and businesses volunteer their time to deliver meals.

If you would like to be a part of this highly rewarding and important community program, please contact the Salina Meals On Wheels office in the Salina Senior Center, 245 N. Ninth, or call 823-7555.
