Man Hurt In Saturday Night Motorcycle Crash

A Fort Riley man is transported to the hospital in Salina after a Saturday night motorcycle crash.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 49-year-old James Wilson Jr. was riding a 1981 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Interstate 70. He was rear-ended by a Toyota passenger car driven by 22-year-old Jess Lemon of Hays.

Wilson was thrown from the motorcycle in the crash. He was injured, and transported to Salina Regional Health Center. He was not wearing a helmet.

Lemon, who was buckled up, was not hurt.

The crash happened at 9:00 Saturday night on I-70 in Geary County about four miles east of Chapman.
