Man Arrested for Stealing Hoagie and SUV

A stolen SUV is recovered after an Ogden man is arrested for theft.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, an officer on patrol spotted a black Ford Explorer that matched the description of a vehicle driven by a man who allegedly stole a sandwich and soda from the Kwik Shop, 305 W. Schilling Road, early Monday morning.

Police arrested 24-year-old Adam Thornton at about 1:40am Tuesday morning, after the officer stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 2400 block of S.9th.

Thornton is facing multiple charges after the 1999 Ford Explorer was confirmed as stolen in Riley County.

Police also found a small amount of personal use methamphetamine in the vehicle.
