Heavy Rain Brings Flooding

KSAL StaffSeptember 5, 2016

Damage cleanup and recovery efforts are underway after weekend heavy rain impacted parts of Kansas.

Parts of the state received five to seven inches of rain on Saturday leading to water rescues near the town of Edmond in Norton County. The Norton County Sheriff’s Office also found a vehicle that was washed away by floodwaters near Lenora, but they hadn’t located the occupant.

Localized flooding was also reported along the Saline River in Russell and Rooks Counties.
