Fuel Thieves Caught on Camera

KSAL StaffJuly 8, 2014

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who stole 25-gallons of gas from a farmstead in south central Saline County.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that the land owner noticed extra fuel consumption and placed a camera near the tank.

Saturday July 5th, the device recorded the thieves stealing gas just before 11pm.

Deputies say the car in the photo is a white, 2-door Pontiac Grand Prix with no license plates.

Anyone with information on the identity of the two males is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 785-826-6500, or Crimestoppers at 825-TIPS.
