Man Escapes Truck Fire

An early morning fire destroys a semi truck at the Sale Barn.

A knock on the cab door woke up 24-year-old Cody Ford around 3:43am this morning – as an unidentified man alerted him that his 2001 Kenworth semi truck was on fire.

Moments later crews from Rural Fire District #7 arrived on scene at Farmers and Rancher Livestock, 1500 W. Old 40 Highway, to help put out a blaze that was contained to the semi.

The truck, valued at $43,000 is a total loss.

No on was injured.

Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
