A Thanksgiving eve visit fueled by alcohol turned violent in a Salina apartment.
Police arrested 31-year-old Shane Martin of Denver after he allegedly got into a fight with his mother and her boyfriend on Wednesday evening in a home in the 600 block of S. 2nd Street.
Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that Martin came home around 11:30pm and tried to jump over the couple who was sleeping on a mattress on the floor.
He landed on his mom, and her boyfriend became agitated with Martin.
Words were exchanged and then Martin allegedly picked up his mother and rammed her head through a wall.
Martin then proceeded to assault her boyfriend, sending 58-year-old Mark Herrington to the hospital to be treated for bruises on his face and a gash on his head that required stitches.
Martin is now facing multiple charges that could include domestic battery and aggravated battery.
