Father, Son Burglary

KSAL StaffMarch 10, 2014

A father is facing charges after taking his 7-year-old son with him on a burglary.

Salina Police responded to a burglary in progress call on Friday at about 1:45pm in the 1600 block of E. Cloud.

Police arrested 32-year-old Adam Branstetter of Salina after he emerged from the home with an electronic cable in his hand and his son by his side.

Police allege Branstetter helped his son fit through a basement window so the child could unlock a door and let him in.

He now faces charges that could include burglary, endangering a child and contributing to the misconduct of a child.

The boy was released to his mother.
