Faith-Based Preparedness Workshop Planned

The Red Cross office in Salina is planning a special faith-based event.

According to the organization, the North Central Kansas Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold a one-day workshop focused on faith-based preparedness and community involvement. The event is free, and open to community members involved with a faith-based organization as an employee or an attendee.

The event will include presentations from several partners, including Key Note Speaker Rev. Rocky Mease with Lutheran Disaster Services and Ryan Jacobson, Mentoring and Housing Specialist with the Salina Parole Office.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 20th, at First Covenant Church, located at 2625 E Magnolia. It will last all day, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
