Drug Dog Hits on Vehicle

A deputy’s traffic stop turns into an arrest.

According to Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski, a deputy on patrol observed a driver bounce his car off two curbs in the 300 block of S. Chicago early Saturday morning around 2:20am.

The officer arrested 25-year-old Shane Sonnier of Salina on charges of DUI.

A drug sniffing dog was also brought in and alerted deputies of drugs in the vehicle.

Officers found drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and a handgun inside the 4-door Pontiac G-6.
