KSAL StaffSeptember 23, 2014

A Saline County child is transported to a Kansas City hospital after a dresser falls on her.

Captain Roger Soldan with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office tells KSAL News that emergency responders were called to a home in the 200 block of Main Street in Falun on Monday at about 7:45pm, after a dresser toppled onto 5-year-old Ava McCullick.

Deputies say Ava’s siblings moved the dresser off of her and her mother perfomed CPR until help arrived.

The child was taken to Salina Regional Health Center and then transferred to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City with head injuries.
