Dog Day Afternoon

KSAL StaffJune 3, 2014

The Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter are poised to help Fido and Freida look their best this summer, while raising money to benefit the Shelter.

Dr. Lavelle Ellis tells KSAL News that volunteers will be ready to handle every pooch, “If you’ve got a stinky, smelly dog and you are not up to scrubbing him down – bring him out and we’ll do that for you for a donation,” she said.

Dr. Ellis says that Brown Mackie vet techs will be on hand to help with pedicures and ear cleaning as well.

The suggested donation is $5 to $20 for the scrub and $5 for additional care.

The benefit Dog Wash is this Sunday, June 8th, from 11am to 3pm in the parking lot at the Salina Animal Shelter located at 329 N. 2nd Street.
