Damaging Tornado East of Salina

An Autumn severe weather outbreak dropped tornadoes across Kansas Thursday afternoon, including  in Saline County.

A tornado touched down southeast of Salina Thursday afternoon .It stayed on the ground for several miles, as it moved to the northeast.

It did cause damage, to at least one home. It downed powerlines, damaged outbuildings, and flipped over a combine.

Officials were still assessing damage early Thursday evening.

There were no reports of injuries.
