Chainsaws Taken in Rural Burglary

Tools and fencing items are stolen from an outbuilding in southeast Saline County.

Saline County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 6900 block of S. Simpson Road on Thursday afternoon after property owner, Glenn Skulborstad discovered his Morton Building had been burglarized.

Deputies say someone forced open the door and removed numerous hand tools and power tools along with chainsaws, ceiling fans, barbed wire fencing and an air compressor.

Total loss and damage is listed at $2,342.
