Police say a car found with a decomposing body inside belonged to a man missing since February.
The car was found Monday morning at a Maize apartment complex when police were called to investigate a bad smell.
McPherson police said Monday the car belonged to 54-year-old Adam Sabri, who co-owns a sports bar in McPherson. The body has not been positively identified because it was badly decomposed.
Neighbors told Wichita media outlets the car had been in the same place for months but the back windows were so darkly tinted that it was impossible to see inside. The body was found in the backseat.
Residents said they began to notice a strong smell in recent days as temperatures reached 100 degrees.
