KSAL StaffJune 16, 2014

A robbery is halted before it can take place.

Salina Police made three arrests Sunday night after an eyewitness called authorities about the suspicious behavior of three males in a car near Pump Mart at 1118 N. 9th.

Officers responded to the area and found the suspects in a 2000 Mercury Sable in the 400 block of Inez at 10:37pm.

Police found two black ski masks along with a loaded .22 caliber pistol and 9.2 grams of pot in the vehicle. Police say the investigation revealed that the three planned to rob the convenience store.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Jordan Cherry, 19-year-old Manuel Meza and 22-year-old Michael Harris all of Salina.

All three are facing multiple charges including conspiracy to commit robbery.
