KSAL StaffApril 21, 2014

Burglars are chased away from a Salina business.

Police say in the 3:00 hour on the morning of April 20 Tom’s Appletree at 2450 S. Ninth St. was entered.

A maintenance worker observed two male suspects coming though a door on the backside of Midstate Plaza. The intruders were able to enter into the business and rummage through the cash register before exiting the building after noticing the worker.

The thieves drove off in a red Pontiac mini van. One suspect is identified as possibly hispanic or asian wearing glasses.

There were minor scrape marks near the rear door of the business. No items have been reported missing.
