Former U.S. Sen. Bob Dole will make a stop in Salina when he visits Kansas next month.
According to his office, Senator Dole plans to visit multiple locations during the second of several trips to Kansas this year. His stops will include:
Monday May 12:
Clay Center, KS
Tuesday May 13:
Junction City, KS
Wednesday May 14:
El Dorado, KS
Thursday May 15:
Wyandotte County, KS
Exact venues and times will be announced in the coming weeks, and all visits are open to the public.
“I’m making my way across the state of Kansas during several trips this year,” Senator Dole said. “I hope to see friends and former supporters of mine, and I am looking forward to enjoying lots of cookies along the way, preferably oatmeal raisin and chocolate.”
Dole represented Kansas in Congress from 1960 until 1996. He will celebrate his 91s birthday in July.
