A bicycle rider is injured early Tuesday evening when he is hit by an SUV along an East Salina busy street.
First responders were called at around 6:30 to the report of a cyclist hit by a vehicle at the entrance to Bill Burke Park on East Crawford Street.
Salina Police told KSAL News at the scene that the bicyclist was riding on the sidewalk, along Crawford Street. As he was crossing the Bill Burke Park entrance road, he collided with an SUV that was exiting onto Crawford Street.
The bicycle rider was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Names were not immediately available at the scene.
