Large Amount Of Ammo, Guns, Knives Stolen

Approximately 140 guns, 10 knives and numerous loads of ammunition are among the items taken from a Salina sporting goods store.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL news that sometime between Saturday evening April 12 and Monday morning April 14 Cleve’s Marine & Sporting Goods store at 136 S. Broadway was forcefully entered.

The suspect(s) allegedly entered through a garage door, and then disabled an alarm system to the building.

Up to $74 in cash, multiple handguns and semi-automatic rifles were stolen along with 9mm, .40, .45, .300, .223 and 7.62×39 caliber ammunition worth $5000.

As of Tuesday morning store employees were still taking inventory of the missing items. Total loss is estimated at $50,000.
