A weekend fire destroyed a rural Saline County home.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office told KSAL they received a call from Jacob Thelander (26) Sunday night at 8:28PM. Thelander told the Sheriff’s Office he just got home and discovered his mobile home was on fire.

Rural Fire District #5 arrived to the S. Simpson Rd. address as quickly as possible but the home was destroyed.

The mobile home was bought for $4000 but the total loss is unknown.
