Phyllis Lorrayne Powell, 89, of Salina passed away peacefully at her home Thursday evening February 28, 2019. She was born November 6, 1929 in Waterville KS, the daughter of Edward and Tillie (Bonin) Blaske. She married Ira Powell November 20, 1952. He passed away August 13, 2007.

Phyllis was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, sewing and scrapbooking. She loved spending time with her family and holiday gatherings.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ira of 54
years; two brothers, Veryl and Gene Blaske; and a sister, Donna
Fritzson. Survivors include six children, Dianna (Rob) Kelly, Judy Powell, Debra (Vic) Davis, Jerry (Brenda) Powell, Darla (Harold) Waymaster and Joni (Dave) Root; a sister, Carla (Rene) Knight; sister-in-law, Margie Blaske; one aunt, Phyllis McDowell; eleven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

It was Phyllis’s wish to be cremated. Memorial services will be 11:00
AM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. The family will greet visitors at the church from 10— 11 AM, prior to the
service. Memorials may be given to Hospice or Trinity Lutheran
Church. Ryan Mortuary is handling arrangements.
