A school finance bill approved by Kansas lawmakers is short on funding.

The measure will increase public school funding by 534-million-dollars over five years.

According to the Kansas Department of Education website, 80-million-dollars of that funding will not be there because of what officials say was an error.

Officials say schools will still get a funding increase, but it will be less than expected.
