William “Bill” Robert Hobaugh, 79, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026.

William was born on July 23, 1946, in Junction City, Kansas, the son of Emma Marie (Kensing) Hobaugh.

On May 28, 2017, William married Mary Jane Newingham at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Hobaugh, of the home; his daughters, Terri Parry (Craig) of Morganville, Kansas, and Michele (Bill) Dunham of O’Fallon, Missouri; sons, Larry Newingham (Joan), of Salina, Kansas, Jack Newingham, of Gypsum, Kansas.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Layne, Kristi, Janell, David, Matthew, Eric (Lisa), Alyssa; and his 15 great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include his sisters, Florene “Flo” (Jan) Kroeze of Eldridge, Iowa, and Joyce (Steve) Woodard of Junction City, Kansas; and his brother, Richard Hobaugh of Junction City, Kansas.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Marie Hobaugh.

In accordance with William’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 320 N Main St, Lindsborg, Kansas. Burial of Bill’s cremated remains will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Donations may be made in William’s name to the American Cancer Society.
