Barbara Sue Gray

In loving memory, we honor the life of Barbara Sue Gray, 58, of Salina, Kansas. She passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Barbara was born on February 21, 1968, to Terry D. Harris and Shelia Kay (Ryan) Harris in Salina.

Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Barbara grew up in Salina where she played volleyball in high school. She was known for having a mean spike. She also played violin in the school orchestra. She graduated from Salina High Central in 1987. Barbara was also known for her love of motorcycles that began with learning to ride early with her dad.

Barbara would go on to meet the love of her life, Edward Gray, in 1990 and married on August 18, 1993. They shared so many memories that would grow their love for each other. They would go on to have two children, Taylor and Brook Gray. Barbara loved her kids so much and spent much of her time making memories with them.

She was over the moon with love when she was blessed with her grandchildren, Navayah, Ivy, Kimberly, and Faith. She couldn’t wait to spoil and love on them.

During her time at Wendy’s, she would dress up as the character Wendy and visit those staying in the hospital. Over the years, she has managed several gas stations before transitioning into being a homemaker, where she would assist with her husband’s business.

Barbara is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pearl Hayes and Rex Ryan, and her paternal grandparents, John Harris and Florence Harris. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Gray; daughter, Taylor Gray; son, Brook Gray; grandchildren, Navayah, Ivy, Kimberly, and Faith; siblings, Alison (Tim) Ryder of Salina, May Amarylist Gray of Salina, Joesph Gray of Salina, Fredrick Lemons (Tiffany) of Salina, Finalisa Lemons of Texarkana, and many nieces and nephews.
