Della Mae Grant Hefner, age 95, died Friday, June 12, 2026 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, KS.  She was born February 7, 1931 in rural Aurora, KS to Elmer P. & Eva M. (Zimmer) Forgue.

She attended country school Dist. 37 and St. Ann’s Catholic School in Clyde.

She married Wayne Grant on February 14, 1947.  He preceded her on September 16, 1978.

She married William “Bud” Hefner on November 3, 1979.  He preceded her on December 17, 2018.

She worked at Boogaart’s Wholesale Warehouse and was a farm wife.  She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and Altar Society.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her son, Terry Grant, Concordia, KS; daughter in law, Janet Grant, Tecumseh, KS; 9 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Wayne Grant and William Hefner; sons, Eric & Jerry Grant.

It was Della’s wishes to be cremated.  Private family services have been held, and she was buried at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, KS.  The family suggests memorials to the St. Concordia Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home, Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, PO Box 606, Concordia, KS 66901.
