Joyce Ann Wiese

Joyce Ann Wiese, 83 years of age, was born on May 1, 1942, at Clay Center, Kansas, to parents, Glen and Esther Caldwell.  She passed from this life on Wednesday April 22, 2026, at the Presbyterian Manor in Salina, Kansas.

She graduated from Clifton High School with the Class of 1960.  She then graduated from Brown Mackie Business College in 1961.

Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Loyd Wiese, on March 11, 1962, at the Methodist Church in Clifton, Kansas. They resided in Topeka while Loyd attended Barber School.  They returned to Salina where Joyce went to work with the Saline County Attorney’s Office.  When Assistant County Attorney John Weckel became a District Court Judge, Joyce became his administrative assistant.  For forty years, she ably assisted Judge Weckel in his judicial career, and she became a part of his extended family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Loyd after twenty-three years of marriage, her parents, her sister Barbara (Paul) Hauschild, and her brother Lowell (Margaret) Caldwell. She is survived by her twin sister Judi (Larry) Fisher; nieces, Dawn Caldwell, Deb (Bruce) VandeVelde, Kristin Fisher (Brent) Boyer, April (Kent) Unruh, Michele (Randy) Wells, and Debra (Mike) Rogge; nephews Dann (Shannon) Fisher, James Caldwell (Myong) Scott, Jeff (Sherry) Wiese, Gary (Pam) Wiese, and Mark Wiese; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Ivory Keys at Salina Presbyterian Manor on Tuesday April 28, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.

Memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Presbyterian Manor or the American Diabetes Association.
