Nearly 100 hay bales are destroyed following a grass fire in Barton County.

The fire broke out Monday evening near Southeast 60th Avenue and Southeast 30th Road.

The Great Bend Fire Department and Ellinwood Fire Department worked to contain the fire and put out any hot spots. No injuries were reported.
