Oral arguments are heard in the appeal of two Kansas death row inmates.

The Kansas Supreme Court heard arguments yesterday over whether Jonathan Carr and Reginald Carr’s death sentences are valid.

Jonathan and Reginald Carr shot and killed Ann Walenta in 2000 as she was pulling into her driveway, and they kidnapped, tortured and shot five people in east Wichita days later.

Only one of the five victims survived, and no decision on the Carr’s appeal has been made by the state’s highest court.
