There were no injuries when a skid steer caught fire while in use.

According to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan, on Thursday afternoon at about 3:06pm Rural Fire District #5 and a deputy responded to 4396 N Woodward Rd for a report of a skid steer on fire.

The Sheriff says 27-year-old Trevor Karber of rural Gypsum was using a 2022 Bobcat Model T770 skid steer to load round bales on a trailer when the utility vehicle caught fire.

The skid stee was valued at $74,500.
