Salina Woman Hurt In Crash Involving Deer

A Salina woman is hurt in a crash involving a deer.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Christine Munoz of Salina was driving a car early Saturday morning, headed west on K4 Highway, when a deer ran in front of her.

Munoz swerved to avoid the deer, veered to the left across the center line, went off the road and into a ditch. The car rolled on its right side and came to a rest on its tires.

Munoz did not immediately seek medical treatment, but was later transported to the hospital. Troopers say that she was not buckled up.

The crash happened at 6:30 Saturday morning two miles north of Lindsborg on K4 Highway.
