Two Hurt in Weekend Crash

Salina Police are planning to crack down on drunk drivers following the Festival Jam Thursday evening.

An injury accident sends one woman to the hospital for treatment at the Emergency Room.

Salina Police worked a crash on Saturday morning that involved three vehicles and two drivers.

Police say 44-year-old Cameron D. May was driving an SUV southbound in the 600 block of S. 9th when he reached down for cigarettes.

May allegedly crossed lanes and hit a northbound passenger car driven by Claudia Marshall of Salina head on. The SUV then hit a curb, flipped over and struck a parked car in a driveway on S. 9th.

Marshall was transported to Salina Regional Health Center and was treated and released. May refused treatment at the scene but later visited the ER for help.

The crash which happened at about 11:07am caused heavy damage to the SUV.
