There were no injuries after a farmer pulled down multiple power lines on Wednesday with a tractor.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that Eldon Tillberg of Smolan was transporting a folded, disk harrow behind his tractor in the 7100 block of S. Muir Road when one of the wings came in contact with a power line at about 4:15pm.

Deputies say Tillberg stayed in the cab and called his wife.

Crews from Westar Energy came out to turn off the power – then reconnected the lines once Tillberg was safe.

Deputies report that the accident pulled down one power pole and took down several lines for “some distance.”
