Salina Police are investigating after items were allegedly taken from a vehicle parked at an auto repair shop.

According to Captain Jim Norton, Trey Ponting of Salina contacted police several days after picking up his 1999 Buick Regal from Bengston Service Center, 730 N. Santa Fe, on February 24th.

Ponting told officers he noticed some things out of order inside the car but credited it to someone moving items around during the service.

Later in the week he discovered that 2 speakers had been removed from the car along with an amp and converter. Loss is listed at $560.
