The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft at Salina Speedway.

An employee told deputies he noticed a gate on Wednesday that appeared to be tampered with, and then saw a lock was broken at the race facility at 2841 S. Burma Road.

Deputies discovered a door had been forced open on a storage shed and an inventory revealed that a Polaris ATV, and EZ golf cart had been stolen.

Deputies say a utility mesh trailer plus a number of hand and power tools were also taken sometime between Sunday evening and Wednesday afternoon.

Total loss and damage is listed at $15,490.
