A Salina woman is jailed after allegedly striking a man with an axe.
Officers were called to the 700 block of N. Front after an argument turned violent in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police arrived at the home at 2:10am to find a 59-year-old man with an inch long gash bleeding on the right side of his head.
Police arrested 43-Tamatha Lewis on a charge of aggravated battery.
The man, who is an acquaintance of Lewis, refused treatment for his wound at the hospital.
