Thursday Crash Sends One To Hospital

A two vehicle collision sends one person to the hospital Thursday morning.

The crash happened at around 9:30 at the corner of Claflin and 9th Street in Salina.

Salina Police at the scene told KSAL News that a car and a small pickup truck collided in the intersection. Police say the driver of the car ran a red light.

A passenger in the truck was transported by EMS to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for about 20 minutes as first responders worked the scene.

Police say that the driver of the car will be cited for running the red light.

Names were not immediately available at the scene.
