Soul Bloom Memorial Day Fundraiser

A new non-profit organization in Salina whose mission is to help other non-profits is hosting a fund-raising event on Thursday evening.

Soul Bloom invites you to begin the celebrations of your Memorial Day weekend by donating in memory of loved ones who have passed. Stop by Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers on 9th St. in Salina, KS between 4pm – 9pm on Thursday, May 23rd and mention Soul Bloom. Not only will we receive a portion of sales at no additional cost to you but you can also post the name of a loved one at Freddy’s counter to keep their memories alive.

Soul Bloom is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with individuals and organizations as a “fiscal sponsor.” It is their mission to assist you in funding your Inspiring, Empowering, Educational, and Charitable projects.

Soul Bloom has two programs:

  • Soul Bloom Nonprofits: They help new nonprofits get their start.
  • Soul Bloom Giving: Nonprofit crowdfunding, “Fund Me”, program. Use Soul Bloom Giving (instead of the BIG for-profit sites) and support charity in your community. Start a giving campaign for yourself, or a friend, or family member in need.

Joan Jerkovich of Salina is the CEO and Founder of Soul Bloom. She believes many individuals and organizations have the heart and soul to inspire, empower and educate others. They do this in their own communities in their own unique way. Countless hours are dedicated to work, or create, or donate, to serve others. There is no lack of passion or commitment from these big-hearted individuals. Sadly, what is often lacking, are the financial resources to drive and sustain their projects. This is where Soul Bloom can help. Their mission to inspire, empower, and educate, works through you. They partner with you. They become your nonprofit “fiscal sponsor.” This allows you to raise money for your passion project under their nonprofit umbrella. You spend your time serving others, while they take care of the business of running a nonprofit.

If you are not able to make it to Freddy’s on Thursday, you can also sign-in through Facebook to write who you wish your donation to be in memory of, then click on the link to make a tax-deductible donation.
